Hinduism is the ancient religion of India. THey bleive in a universal soul or God known a Brahman who is worshipped in many diverse forms including male and female deities. Brahman is represented in a three fold form called a trinity:
- Brahma as a creator of the universe.
- Vishnu its preserver.
- Shiva its destroyer.
Hindus strongly believe in the Law of Karma which simply means ‘as you sew, so shall you reap’. Reincarnation is when the soul gives up one body and takes another on the basis of his or her Karma. This cycle of rebirth is called Samsara. The sacred holy book is called Bhagavad Gita and all Hindus have a shrine at home to provide for their daily worship.
