STATEMENT

Terrorist Attack at Finsbury Park Mosque London on 19 June 2017

Blackburn with Darwen Interfaith Forum, comprising all 6 major world faiths being practiced in Blackburn with Darwen, express our outright shock and horror at what has happened and unreservedly condemn this atrocious and vicious attacks on innocent and vulnerable people that has killed and injured so many. Our prayers, thoughts and sympathies are with all those who are affected in any way.

This is a particularly cowardly act as worshipers were leaving a Mosque after Prayers at the opening of the Fast during the Holy month of Ramadan. We want to make it clear that we as the Interfaith Forum, working with all the 6 major world Faiths, pledge our support and commitment to good and friendly relationships with all Muslims and condemn this attack unreservedly.  We therefore urge all people to work together, with the authorities, to bring those responsible to justice.

In the face of this unspeakably aggressive and hate filled act we call on everyone to redouble their efforts to live in peaceful cooperative relationships with neighbours and others, of whatever Faith or non, as Loving one another and living in Peace is far stronger than hate filled acts will ever be. (Blackburn with Darwen Interfaith Forum)
